Egress refers to a section in the Uniform Building Code that requires two ways into and out of a livable room. (See more details) Rules about egress affect the size of your windows in bedrooms or offices with closets. We sometimes have to make minor changes to homeowner's plans to comply with egress regulations; when we do, we always look to you, the homeowner (and your architect) for verification to ensure that we keep the style of your house intact.
